General Availability for Entra Built-In Administrators
The Microsoft 365 Admin agent represents a major shift in enterprise administration. It addresses a critical decision IT leaders face today: determining which Copilot Chat capabilities are safe to hand real tenant management tasks to.
The Microsoft 365 Admin agent reached general availability for all Microsoft Entra built-in administrators on July 22, 2026. This release brings natural-language tenant management into both the Microsoft 365 admin center and Copilot Chat.
It strictly respects Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), requires explicit admin approval before executing changes, and can be monitored or restricted through admin center policies.
